Shukla Group has positions open right now for Postdoc, Graduate and Undergraduate students. The positions mainly involve research in high performance computing and simulations of biological systems but students would be encouraged to perform experiments for validating their computational results. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign offers unique resources and environment for performing exciting research in computational & theoretical biophysics due to the presence of National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), Blue Waters Supercomputer (one of the fastest supercomputer in world) and several other leading theoretical biophysics groups on campus. Group members will have an opportunity to not only use these unique resources on campus but also distributed computing platforms such as Folding@home as a part of the project.
